Quidditch Through The Ages – J.K. Rowling

Well, I finally got around to this! This is a book I’ve been wanting to read for ages, and there’s no reason why I haven’t gotten to it because I love all things Harry Potter. I just hadn’t picked it up because it’s a smaller book and for some reason I tend to bypass them!

Did you know that: there are 700 ways of committing a foul in Quidditch? The game first began to evolve on Queerditch Marsh – What Bumphing is? That Puddlemere United is oldest team in the Britain and Ireland league (founded 1163). All this information and much more could be yours once you have read this book: this is all you could ever need to know about the history, the rules – and the breaking of the rules – of the noble wizarding sport of Quidditch.

This was an interesting addition to the series and had some interesting facts and funny statements inside. However, some parts were a little boring to read. It was okay as a short book, but if it as any longer I probably would have given up on it.

However, it’s nice to see expansions of the Harry Potter series, especially of this type. When they’re talking about this book, you always imagine what it would be like, so to get to ‘experience’ it is nice, it feels like you’re immersing yourself further in to the world of Harry Potter.
